Join Us in Shaping the Future of Norrköping!
Do you want to help shape the future of Norrköping by thinking big, creating new solutions, and leading the way towards a data-driven municipality? Then you might be the person we are looking for!
Who Are We?
At the Digitalization and IT department, part of the Growth and Development Office, we work to drive and strengthen the municipality's digital development.
Our mission is to create a modern, secure, cost-effective, and flexible IT environment for the entire Norrköping municipality – a task that spans everything from robust infrastructure and information security to service development, innovative digital solutions, and a smooth digital workplace for all employees.
We are over 100 employees, and you will be part of a group of 25 colleagues working with Norrköping municipality's data warehouse and BI platform.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will take overall responsibility for development, architecture, and technical leadership within the municipality's data warehouse and data platform in Microsoft Fabric.
You will develop advanced data flows and frameworks in Python, Spark, and SQL, set standards for how data products are built and maintained, and design and implement integrations from scratch.
The role involves driving technical decisions, designing, and further developing architecture and guidelines. You will ensure that the platform adheres to modern principles of data quality, security, and performance.
You will also work on retrieving, transforming, and structuring data from a large number of sources, ensuring that the entire chain, from data source to finished report, is efficient, scalable, and accurate.
A key part of the role is to act as a technical leader and knowledge bearer for the team, while also supporting the BI function with modeling, structures, and support for Power BI reporting.
You will be responsible for keeping up with Microsoft Fabric's rapid product development and continuously introducing new functionalities that improve workflows and efficiency.
The role also includes deep troubleshooting and problem-solving in complex technical environments, where you handle everything from network and permission issues to platform challenges. You will work both strategically and operationally, ensuring that the municipality's data-driven ecosystem is robust and future-proof.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with a higher education in a relevant field such as IT.
You have several years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or in a similar technical leadership role where you have been responsible for technical development by setting standards, guidelines, and best practices for data products and data management.
You have experience with cloud-based data platforms and BI platforms, such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and Power BI.
You have experience in data modeling for Power BI and an understanding of the entire chain from data source to report consumption. You also have very good knowledge of Python, SQL, and Spark.
As a person, you work independently and enjoy working with many contact points where you can act as a problem solver in complex and cross-functional contexts.
You strive to maintain high quality in your work and move between strategic issues and operational development.
You work towards set goals and have an awareness of the needs and structure of the organization.
You enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. Furthermore, you are skilled at bringing individuals together to achieve common goals.
We believe you enjoy doing a great job!
